Abstract:

The Jeopark concept is based on the world’s first 17. It lasts up to a century. The concept of geopark was introduced in the 1970s. The preservation and transfer of geological structures that could take millions of years to form and to the next generations has gained importance in the rapidly globalized world. With the increasing interest of people who are interested in nature tourism, with the increasing interest of people who want to see and travel special geological structures, geopark tourism has spread throughout the world. In the UNESCO list there are 147 geoparks in the world, and in our country there is a Kula geoparks area that is entitled to this list. In addition to the attractiveness of the carst areas in the geoturism, the interest of people in the carst structures increases the importance of the geopark areas created by the carst structures. Karapınar's potential geopark area is located in Central Anadolu, within the administrative borders of Konya and about 100 km from the center. Right east of the Karapınar district center, the geological heritage area, which covers an area of approximately 1,500 km2, is regarded as geocytes, archaeological and cultural sites around this area. There are more than 20 bricks in the area, in varied sizes and sizes, water or thirsty. Located in the proposed area of Jeopark, the lake of Meke, which is called the Nazar cave among the people, is about 7 km on the Karapınar-Ereğli road, about 1.5 km northwest of the main asphalt. The lake of Meke, defined as the Meke Mountains by the geological term, is a crater lake formed by the water filling of a volcanic crater with two stages of volcanic activity from Pleyistosen and with islands in the middle.
