Abstract:

Banks are the central institutions of the financial system and are the driving force of the real sector. The preservation of the reputable position of these institutions depends on the success of active and passive management. In a growing competition environment, it has become important to look at the performance of the banks. In this context, the financial performance of participating banks operating in Turkey has been assessed by multi-critical decision-making methods. The criteria’s importance weights are CRITIC, while the performance scores of the banks are calculated by the EDAS method. The financial rates of the banks are used as a performance criterion. The study covers banks outside of Asia and Real Estate Participation operating between 2010-2019. According to the results of the analysis, in 2019 Ziraat Participation was first, Turkey Finance was second. The bank with the highest performance among private capital participating banks is Albaraka Turk. It has also been concluded that the public banks’ initiation affects the performance of private capital banks.
