With the increase in population, the transportation problem has emerged as an environmental problem. Overcrowding of cities, increase in the use of motor vehicles and the problems caused by the traffic problems brought by them, air pollution and noise affect both human health and urban life negatively. Bicycle is one of the most environmentally friendly vehicles, a very useful type of transportation in terms of accessibility for a sustainable and healthy life. In the study, the characteristics of the city of Niğde and the structure of the intra-city transportation network has been considered, designed and evaluated in terms of bicycle use. Three regions were identified as the result of the evaluation. In addition to determining the appropriateness of the planned and designed bicycle routes in the newly opened areas, the results show that the hospital route and the city center route are suitable for bicycle use. It has been aimed design to provide uninterrupted access to the area designated as suitable for bicycle use in Niğde center, to reduce transportation difficulties in the city and to determine the suitability of existing bicycle route.
