So many results that aren't mine?

Değişen Zaman, Değişen İhtiyaçlar: Türkiye’de Kuşaklararası Eğitimin Karşılaştırılması

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de kuşaklararası eğitim farklılıklarını ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini kendileri üniversite mezunu olan, çocuklarının ve torunlarının eğitiminde aktif rol alan beş yetişkin oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada ölçüt örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Bu noktada katılımcılara kendi dönemleri, çocuklarının dönemi ve torunlarının dönemi olmak üzere üç dönemde öğretmen öğrenci ilişkisi, disiplin, ödevler, sınavlar, okula ulaşım, okul-veli ilişkisi ve genel olarak eğitim boyutlarında nasıl olduğu sorulmuştur. Sonuç olarak katılımcılar kendi dönemlerinde daha kısıtlı imkanlara sahip olmalarına rağmen her şeyi okulda öğrendiklerini son zamanlarda ise öğrencilerin daha fazla imkana sahip olmalarına rağmen öğrenmelerinin bilgi düzeyinde kaldığı, öğrendiklerini kullanmada sorun yaşadıkları ve daha muhafazakar bir eğitim anlayışına doğru gidildiğini düşündüğü ortaya çıkmıştır.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to reveal the generational education differences in Turkey. Qualitative research method was used in the research.  The research sample was comprised of five adults who are university graduates themselves, taking an active role in the education of their children and grandchildren.  Criterion sampling was used. Data for the study was collected by semi-interview form.Through these interview questions, adults in the study sample were asked to compare their own educational era with the educational era of their children and grandchildren. From their responses comparisons were made between each school era in terms of how they accessed schools, what form of discipline was applied in schools, what homework was given, how assignments were completed, what was the nature of school-parent relationsips and any other differences they believed ocurred in their education. As a result, it is seen that although the participants have more limited opportunities during their own term, that they have learned everything in school. Besides, in the recent times, even though students have more opportunities, their learning at knowledge level. In addition, they have some problems using what they havelearned  and  goes towards to more conservative approach to education
