Eğitimde program geliştirme çalışmaları tüm ülkelerde, toplumların yaşadığı bir takım değişim ve dönüşümler sonucunda, sürekli geliştirilmesi ve yenilenmesi gerekliliğinin ortaya çıktığı benzer süreçlerden geçmektedir. Eğitimin, toplumun kültürel değerlerini gelecek nesillere aktarma işlevi göz önünde bulundurulduğunda, yaşanılan kültürel ve sosyal tüm bu değişim ve dönüşümlerin dikkate alınarak eğitim programlarının geliştirilmesi ve düzenlenmesi gerekmektedir. Eğitim programları toplumların değişen ihtiyaçları içerisinde gelişen sistemli ve sürekli programlardır. Bu çalışmada, program geliştirme çalışmalarındaki temel amaçlar ve program geliştirme çalışmalarına bir örnek olarak İngiltere Ulusal Programı incelenmiştir. Çalışmada ayrıca Yeni Eğitim Programı Hareketi’nin İngiltere Ulusal Programı’na etkileri ve bu etkilerin programın amaçlarına nasıl yansıdığı ortaya konulmuştur.
Program development work in education passes through similar processes in all countries, as a result of a series of changes and transformations that societies experience, where the need for continuous development and renewal arises. Considering the function of education to transfer the cultural values of society to future generations, the educational programmes must be developed and organized, taking into account all these cultural and social changes and transformations that are experienced. Educational programs are systematic and continuous programs that develop within the changing needs of communities. In this study, the English National Program was studied as an example of the main objectives of the program development work and the program development work. The study also reveals the effects of the New Education Program Movement on the UK National Program and how these effects reflect on the program’s objectives.
