Abstract:

In this study, the importance of manda cultivation in the Karaoğlan district where the eco-agro tourism project was carried out in the Uluabat lake water area tampon area in the district of Bursa or Mustafakemalpaşa has been attempted to reveal. This area is considered to have a significant part of the Bursa or Manda existence. The research was conducted in the form of an survey work with 21 business owners who continue this activity. In order to reveal the structural status of the manda farming in the region, questions were addressed under four main titles, including the socio-economic structure of the enterprises, farming, feed, produced products and marketing. Lactation time, breast milk production and daily milk production are estimated at approximately 240 days, 1000-1200 liters and 5 liters respectively. 76.2 percent of farmers deliver milk to mandria for the production of different dairy products, while 23.8 percent produce milk products in their own farms. The production of milk is prominent in the activity of the mammal cultivation, while the male and the elderly mammals are considered to be misery. To better evaluate the environmental benefits of the region, more effort is needed to convert the produced products into high added value products. The approaches in this direction will make a significant contribution to rural development, especially with the more effective use of women’s labour here, first the region, later the country’s mandacy will make a significant contribution.
