İŞ TATMİNİ VE İŞ PERFORMANSININ, İŞTEN AYRILMA NİYETİ ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİNDE ELEŞTİREL DÜŞÜNCENİN ARACI ROLÜ

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı banka ve finans sektörü çalışanlarında iş tatmini ve iş performansının işten ayrılma niyeti üzerindeki etkisinde eleştirel düşüncenin aracı rolünün tespit edilmesidir. Araştırmaya bankacılık ve finans sektöründe görev yapan 1.267 kişi katılmıştır. Çalışma anket esasına dayalı kesitsel bir araştırmadır. Ankette demografik sorular ile birlikte Eleştirel Düşünce Ölçeği, İş Performansı Ölçeği, Minnesota İş Tatmini Anketi ile İşten Ayrılma Niyeti Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Ankette, katılımcılara mail aracılığı ile gönderilen Google formları kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama süreci yaklaşık 9 ay sürmüş ve 15.05.2021’de tamamlanmıştır. Her bir IP adresinden bir başvuru kabul edilecek şekilde Google formlardan toplanan anket sayısı 1.316’dır. Uç değer ihtiva eden anketler elenerek, çalışmada toplam 1.267 anket sonucu kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada anlamlı sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, banka ve finans sektörü çalışanlarında beyaz yakalı işgörenlerin iş performanslarını kendilerinin değerlendirmeleri istendiğinde objektif davranmaktan uzak oldukları gözlenmiştir. Ayrıca iş tatmininin, işten ayrılma niyetinin ortaya çıkmasında etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra iş tatmininin işten ayrılma niyeti üzerindeki etkisinde, eleştirel düşüncenin aracı rolünün olduğu da tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine the mediating role of critical thinking in the effect of job satisfaction and job performance on the intention to leave the job in banking and finance sector employees. 1,267 people working in banking and finance sector participated in the research. The study is a cross-sectional research based on a questionnaire. Critical Thinking Scale, Job Performance Scale, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire and Intention to Leave Scales was used in the questionnaire together with demographic questions. In the survey, Google forms which were sent to the participants with e-mail was used. The data gathering process took approximately 9 months and was completed on 15.05.2021. From the Google forms 1,316 surveys were gathered with one application accepted from each IP address. Questionnaires including outliers were eliminated and a total of 1,267 questionnaire results was used. Significant results were obtained in the study. According to the results of the research, it has been observed that white-collar employees working in banking and finance sector are far from being objective when asked to evaluate their job performances themselves. In addition, it has been concluded that job satisfaction is effective on the intention to leave the job. Besides, it has been determined that critical thinking has a mediating role in the effect of job satisfaction on the intention to leave the job.
