Abstract:

The purpose of the research is to examine the views of teachers candidates who have received a coaching or special training course in the Department of Basic Education of the University of Trakya in terms of comprehensive education. The research quality is designed using a semi-configured conversation method of research methods. The research work group is determined in accordance with the purpose of the research; the criteria are determined using the sample method. According to this, the work group of the research consists of a total of 132 teachers candidates who are continuing to teach education in the Basic Education Department of the University of Trakya; determined according to the criteria of receiving a coaching or special training course and who wish to participate voluntarily in the research. The study used a semi-configured conversation form created by scanning the area in summer with the demographic information form prepared by researchers as a data collection tool. In this form, the questions "What is captivating education, is it mandatory in our country, which group of children benefit from captivating education, which institutions have the relationship, who are the practitioners of captivating education, what to be taken into consideration in the educational environment, whether education is useful, the most common problems, the conditions of teachers’ self-sufficiency, the need for captivating education and the information needed in this education" have been answered by the teacher candidates. It has been found that teaching candidates have general knowledge of comprehensive education and have positive views on comprehensive education and believe in the need for comprehensive education. But when there is a child in his class that needs it, they say they don’t feel qualified in comprehensive education. According to these findings, with the increase in the number or duration of courses such as comprehensive training or special training provided in the bachelor’s education, the development of their contents to the application indicates the need for teaching candidates to gain experience and to learn through practice.
