İslâm mezhepleri tarihi klasik kaynakları içerisinde önemli bir yere sahip olan Şehristânî’nin el-Milel ve’n-nihal adlı eseri, mukaddimesi ve objektifliği ile öne çıkmıştır. Mezhepleri tarafsız olarak aktaracağını belirten Şehristânî’nin, bu ilkesine ne denli sadık kaldığı İslâm mezhepleri hakkında doğru bilgi edinmemiz açısından önemlidir. Bu eserin İmâmiyye mezhebini esas alarak yaptığımız araştırmamızda, İmâmiyye’nin ve tâli kollarının görüşlerinin, Eş‘arî, Müstakil Sünnî (İbn Hazm), Mürciî-Hanefî ve Zeydî-İsmâilî-İmamî gelenekten gelen eserlerle kıyaslanarak, bilgilerin geçerliliği tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Eş‘arî geleneğin önemli bir temsilcisine ait el-Milel adlı eserde, İmâmiyye mezhebinin bazı görüşleri eleştirilmiş, bazı İmâmiye’ye ait inanç esasları anlamsız ve tuhaf karşılanmıştır. Buna rağmen Şehristânî’nin genel anlamda tarafsızlık ilkesini korumaya riayet ettiği görülmüştür. İmâmiyye’ye ait görüşlerin farklı mâkâlât gelenekleriyle karşılaştırıldığında örtüştüğü tespit edilmiştir.
The Islamic disciples have emerged with the work, purity and objectivity of the city of El-Milel and 'n-Nihal, which has an important place in historical classical sources. It is important for us to know the truth about how faithful the Islamic religions are to this principle, which states that they will be neutrally transmitted. In our research on the basis of the Imamiya Mezhebiya, the Imamiya and the arms of the Tea have been attempted to identify the validity of the opinions, compared to the works from the Tradition of Esharî, Müstakil Sünni (Ibn Hazm), Mürciî-Hanefî and Zeydî-Ismâilî-Imamî. In the work named El-Milel of an important representative of the marriage tradition, some opinions of the Imamiya religion were criticized, some beliefs of the Imamiya foundations were meaningless and strange. However, it has been seen that the City of Christianity in general adheres to the principle of neutrality. It has been found that the views of the Imamiya compared to the different Makhallaat traditions.
Shahristani's work al-Milal wa’l-nihal, which has an important place among the classical sources of the history of Islamic sects, has come to the fore with its introduction and objectivity. The extent to which Shahristani, who stated that he would convey the sects impartially, was faithful to this principle is important for us to obtain accurate information about Islamic sects. In our research based on the Imamiyyah sect of this work, the views of the Imamiyyah and its subordinate branches has been tried to determine the validity of the information by comparing with the works from the Ash’ari, independent Sunni (Ibn Hazm), Murjiite-Hanafi and Zaydi-Ismaili-Imami traditions. In al-Milal, a work by a prominent representative of the Ash’ari tradition, some of the views of the Imamiyyah sect were criticized, and some of the belief principles of the Imamiyya were considered meaningless and strange. Nevertheless, it is observed that Shahristani generally respected the principle of impartiality. It was found that the views of the Imamiyya overlap when compared with different maqalat traditions.
