Abstract:

The research was aimed at investigating the factors that prevent coaches from participating in recreational activities in the province of Kütahya. According to this goal, a study was carried out with 210 coaches who worked in the province of Kütahya and were identified by non-selective sampling method. In the study used the general scan model, the demographic information survey prepared by the researcher as a data collection tool and the Recreation Area Participation Barriers Measurement developed by Silver and Özgül (2017) was used. Analysis of the data obtained within the framework of the study took advantage of Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests. The results of the analysis have found that the levels of obstacles to participation in recreational activities of the coach are medium. Gender, educational status, daily leisure time and health status variables have been found to be effective on the level of obstacle to participation in recreational activities.
