Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine the research trends on this subject by examining the articles and postgraduate theses published in Turkey on grit. For this purpose, the articles scanned in the educational sciences category of the ULAKBİM National Social and Humanities database, the Gazi University library database and Google scholar, and the postgraduate theses registered in the YÖK National Thesis Center system were examined and 16 articles and 19 postgraduate theses published between 2010-2023 on the subject were included in the research. While examining the articles, the "Article Review Form", which includes 8 different themes: journal name, number of authors, publication year, study group, research method, study group size, statistical techniques and subject and while examining the theses, a "Thesis Review Form" containing 7 different themes such as thesis type, publication year, study group, research method, study group size, statistical techniques and subject were used. In the study, articles and theses were examined using content analysis within the scope of document review, one of the qualitative research methods. According to the results obtained, the most articles on this subject are in 2020 and 2022 and theses were made in 2021 and 2022 at the most. It was concluded that articles and theses were mostly of the relational scanning type. In the articles, the study groups are mostly university and high school students; In theses, it is seen that they were created by high school students. It was concluded that the size of the working group concentrated between 201-600 people in articles and theses. Additionally, the most commonly used statistical techniques in articles are t-test, CFA, correlation. In theses, t test, ANOVA, mean/standard deviation, frequency/percentage were employed.
