Abstract:

The developments in science and technology have directed the individual to constantly renew himself, to follow the changes and to develop himself. Education is the most important tool in achieving goals for socially, culturally and economically developing societies. There is a direct relationship between the levels of development of societies and the educational systems. The teaching profession, which is one of the structures of society, must constantly adapt to these developments and innovations. The teacher should not count in place; he should research, read, and develop himself while also strive for the development of his students. The teachers are in the direction of the innovative structure and the students will also develop their attitude in the positive direction depending on this direction. The aim of this study is to determine the professional innovation trends of classmates. For this purpose, the scale consisting of fifty two already selected subjects was presented to 250 class teachers selected by random methods to receive opinions. To collect the research data, the 'Class Teachers' Professional Innovation Trends Scale' was used. In addition, class teachers’ professional innovation trends have also been studied according to variables such as gender and senior years. According to the results of the study, in three subdimensions of the study, the teachers have been found to be positive in learning, innovation in the profession and resistance to innovation.
