Abstract:

Rental agreement is regulated by the articles 299-378 of the Turkish Code of Obligations Law no . 6098 entered into force on 1st of July, 2012 by replacing old Code Law no . 818 which had remained in effect 86 years, 8 months and 27 days since 4 October 1926 .In the new Code of Obligations, especially in the area of the rents of commercial and residential estates, the principle of protection of the tenant and justifiable benefits of the landlord, as it was in the abolished Law Concerning the Rents in Real Estate Law no . 6570 , have been observed and regulated in a much better way than the old Code .In this article only amendments and new rules in Code of Obligations are focused on whereas the provisions similar to the previous Code are not analyzed deeply]]>
