Abstract:

In this study, the validity of the Beveridge curve, which shows the negative relationship between unemployment rate and open employment rate in Turkey in the period 2006:01-2020:03 was examined. In the study of the Beveridge curve, econometric methods were used by the Hatemi-J (2008) multi-structually broken matching test. The FMOLS method has been used to identify long-term indicators. To identify the direction of causality between the variables, the Hacker and Hatemi-J (2012) Bootstrap causality test was also used. According to the findings obtained, a long-term equalization relationship between the unemployment rate and the open employment rate variables in Turkey has been identified. In the long term, the open employment rate will increase by 1% and unemployment rate will increase by 0. It was found to be 15th. Hackers and Hatemi-J (2012) Bootstrap Causability Test results found that there was a Causability Relation from Open Employment to Unemployment.
