Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the relationship between the level of exposure to OSB in children with autism spectrum disorder (OSB) and the depression of their parents. This work is designed with a visual and relative research model. The universe of the study consists of 205 parents with a child with OSB diagnosis that continues to be educated in public schools and rehabilitation centers in various years. The sample of the research was created using the aim (iradi) sample technique from unlikely sampling methods. The research data was collected with the Beck Depression Inventory, Gilliam Autistic Disorder Rating Scale-2 (GOBDÖ-2-TV) and Personal Information Form for demographic information about families. In the analysis of the data, the T-Test, Pearson Momentler's collision ratio technique, one-way ANOVA and Dunnet's C tests have been used for the purpose of assessing the difference between the groups. The analysis found that children with OSB’s levels of disability and children with OSB’s parents’ age and parents’ depression levels were not related but that childhood ages were associated with their parents’ depression levels and that educational conditions were lower than the depression levels of parents in primary and secondary education.
