Abstract:

The aim of this study is to provide systematic information to families with a child with autism spectrum disorder (OSB) for research involving remote family education practices that will help them provide their children with communication skills. For this purpose, the research on the practices of remote family education conducted between 2000-2018 has been scaned and achieved through the field in the 9 studies of the type of "observative collection". The research was studied in terms of the characteristics of the participants (age, gender, diagnosis), the dependent-independent variable, the research model, the software program or technological tools used, the application process of family education, validity-confidence, monitoring-generalization, findings, impact size and results related characteristics. The results show that the programmes implemented have a positive impact on the targeted skills. In light of the findings presented by the research, it is found that the participating parents gained the ability to apply the targeted teaching method. The participants are determined to be able to demonstrate largely targeted communication skills. The research shows that the social validity of the programs is also high.
