Makalemizde, Protestanlık hakkında genel bilgiler verilmiş, Protestanlığın Anadolu‟daki Ermeniler arasında oluşum sebepleri de belirtilerek nasıl yayıldığı ve bu yayılış sürecinde misyonerlik faaliyetlerinin etkisi ele alınmıştır. Bununla birlikte misyonerlik faaliyetleri neticesinde Protestanlaşan Ermenilere karşı Ermeni Patrikliği‟nin tutumu ve bu tutum karşısında İngiltere ve Amerika‟nın Osmanlı Devleti‟ne karşı baskısı da işlenmiştir. Burada ayrıca Protestanlığı kendisine din olarak seçen Ermenilerin Osmanlı Devletince ayrı bir “Millet” olarak kabulü anlatılmıştır. Makalemizin sonuç kısmında ise genel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır
In our article, general information about Protestanism was given, the reasons for the formation of Protestanism in the Armenians in Anatolia were indicated, and the influence of missionary activities in this process of spread was discussed. However, as a result of missionary activities, the attitude of the Armenian Patriarchate against the Protestant Armenians and the pressure of Britain and America against the "Othman State" against this attitude were also processed. Here it is also described the acceptance of the Armenians who chose Protestanism as a religion as a separate "Nation" in the Ottoman State. In this article, we have made a general assessment.
