Abstract:

Sexual abuse of children requires a comprehensive social service intervention with the child and the family. The study aims to evaluate the situation of Turkish citizens and refugee children who have been subjected to sexual abuse through the files containing the reports of judicial interviews, social investigation reports and the implementation reports of protective measures. In the research designed with the quantitative research method in the framework of the illustrative research model, the information obtained about 181 children in a total of 207 different files located in the Ankara Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Family, Work and Social Services has been scanned. The data obtained by the document review method was statistical analysis by processing on the database in the SPSS 23 program created by the researchers. The results of the analysis were analyzed under the social-demographic information according to the nationality of children and parents, the information about the sexual abuse of children, the state of exposure of children to certain risks and the process of interfering with sexual abuse. In order to resolve the problems identified, recommendations on social services interventions in the field of child protection have been made.
