Girişimcilik; çağımızın ekonomik ve sosyal açıdan önemli güçlerindendir. Bu denli önemli bir güç haline gelmiş olması girişimci faaliyetlere olan ilginin artmasından kaynaklanmaktadır. Girişimci faaliyetlere olan ilginin artması ise iş alanları ve teknolojideki gelişme dalgalarının sürekli bir şekilde dünyayı dönüşüm üzerine şekillendirmesinin bir göstergesi olmasından kaynaklanmaktadır. Bu bilgiler ışığında bu araştırmada ülkemizdeki yükseköğretim kurumlarında öğrenim gören Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin girişimcilik özelliklerini çeşitli değişkenlerce incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya 369 kadın 403 erkek üniversite öğrencisi gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Üniversite Öğrencileri Girişimcilik Ölçeği” (Yılmaz ve Sünbül, 2009) kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler bilgisayar program paketi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin girişimcilik düzeyleri ortalamanın üzerinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Cinsiyet değişkenine göre yapılan t testi sonucunda ölçeğin tüm alt boyutlarında kadın öğrenciler lehine anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. Araştırmada sonuç olarak, öğrencilerin girişimcilik düzeylerinde, girişimciliği belirleyen unsurların sosyal sınıf, ailenin ekonomik geçmişi, iş deneyimi, eğitim ve diğer çevresel sosyo-kültürel faktörler olduğu belirtilmektedir.
Entrepreneurship is one of the important economic and social powers of our era. This becomes an important force due to the increased interest in entrepreneurial activities. The increased interest in entrepreneurial activities is due to the fact that the waves of development in business areas and technology are constantly shaping the world on transformation. In light of this information, this study aims to study the entrepreneurial characteristics of body education and sports high school students studying in higher education institutions in our country by various variables. The study included 369 women and 403 male university students voluntarily. The study used the "University Students Entrepreneurship Scale" (Yılmaz and Sünbül, 2009) as a data collection tool. The data obtained was analyzed through a computer program package. The research has found that the level of entrepreneurship of body education and sports high school students is above the average. The t test based on the gender variable found significant differences in the benefit of women students in all sub-dimensions of the scale. As a result of the study, students’ entrepreneurship levels indicate that the determining elements of entrepreneurship are social class, family economic history, business experience, education and other environmental socio-cultural factors.
