Abstract:

The dictionaries are one of the important sources in ancient Turkish literature research. The dictionaries prepared in foreign languages, including Arabic and Persian, if necessary Turkish authorship or translation, are considered as the indispensable sources of work related to the texts created with the Ottoman Turkish in Turkish literature. These dictionaries are the two-language dictionaries of the Latin letter. In such dictionaries in which the headlines of the article are given with today's alphabet, the issues related to the pronunciation are actually much clearer. Although the dictionaries used in these minvals are works of Redhouse, other dictionaries can also be used. In the dictionaries of foreign languages from Turkish before 1928, the use of the Latin literary images of the Turkish words per article can help in the reading of the Ottoman Turkish texts from today. Therefore, the dictionaries from Turkish in foreign language that were printed before the letter inkilab were scaned, and those that were suitable for such research were identified and detailed information about the writers and works were given. In the searched dictionaries will also be determined some aspects related to the characteristics of the pre-interpretation of the Turkish literature and will be attempted to show a look at this issue in the works of local and foreign dictionaries.
