Abstract:

Turkey is in the center of geopolitical and geo-economic formations. Turkey, which is trying to meet its energy needs largely with imports, on the one hand develops energy security while on the other hand continues to work to be an international energy transition corridory and energy center. The aim of this study is to study the geographical position of Turkey, the geopolitical and geostrategic importance of it. It is also to evaluate how energy markets and regional political developments determine the role of Turkey on energy geopolitics. According to this goal, the role of Turkey in being the energy route, the advantages of its position and the importance in energy geopolitics, quality research methods have been assessed by the content analysis approach. The geopolitical and geostrategic importance of Turkey is an important player in the regional and global field, increasing every day. Turkey, with its geographical position, geopolitical and geostrategic importance, should make its place in natural gas and oil transportation, with its economic and political decisions, and increase its dynamicity in becoming an energy center by making effective energy treaties with the countries in the region.
