Abstract:

The extension of the financial base has become even more important with the increased access to information. The spread into the financial base is defined as the ability of individuals to know the financial instruments and to use the information they have. The basis for the spread of the financial base is financial literature, financial training and financial access. The development of the spread to the financial base is an important concept that concerns every part of society and its results are long-term. Therefore, it is very important to identify and update the variables of the financial base. The aim of this study is to study the variables that make up the spread to the financial base by comparing with the demographic characteristics of individuals. In this context, the study was used in the scale developed by the Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation (OECD). The study was carried out on individuals living in the province of Trabzon. The data was analyzed in the SPSS 21 program. In the analysis of the data, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis H test and Ki-Kare tests were used. According to the study, the relationship between the variables of spread to the financial base has been identified. The variables of spread to the financial base vary according to individuals, gender, age groups, educational conditions, income levels and occupational groups.
