Amaç – Bu araştırma, işgörenlerin tükenmişlik düzeylerini ve örgütsel sessizlik tutumlarını saptamak, tükenmişliğin sessizlik üzerindeki etkisinin yönü ve düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yöntem – Nedensel ilişki tasarımına dayanan araştırma modelindeki hipotezleri test etmek amacıyla, Antalya’nın Belek turizm bölgesinde bir saha çalışması yürütülmüştür. Saha araştırmasında, beş yıldızlı otel işletmesi çalışanlarından toplanan anketlerin 374’ü değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Bulgular – Yapılan analizler sonucu, çalışanların tükenmişlik durumu düşük düzeyde tespit edilirken, örgütsel sessizlik tutumlarının ise görece orta düzeye yakın olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma amacı çerçevesinde gerçekleştirilen regresyon analizi sonuçlarına göre; tükenmişliğin, örgütsel sessizlik boyutlarından olan kabullenici sessizlik ile korunmacı sessizliğin yordanmasında anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Örgütsel çıkarları gözetmek ve örgüt lehine sessiz kalmak suretiyle bir tür özgecilik tutumu olarak tanımlanan korumacı sessizliğin açıklanmasında ise tükenmişliğin anlamlı bir etkisinin olmadığı saptanmıştır. Tartışma – Tükenmişliğin işgörenlerin sessiz kalma tutumlarına olan olası etkilerinin yönü ve düzeyinin belirlendiği bu araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlar, kavramsal ve kuramsal çerçeveyle tartışılmış; gelecek araştırmalar ve uygulayıcılar için öneriler sunulmuştur.
Purpose - This research was carried out with the aim of determining workers' extinction levels and organizational silence attitudes, determining the direction and level of the impact of extinction on silence. Method - In order to test the hypotheses in the research model based on the causal relationship design, a field study was carried out in the Belek tourist area of Antalya. In the field survey, 374 surveys collected from five-star hotel business employees were taken to evaluate. Results - The results of the analyses were found that the employee's extinction status was low, while the organizational silence attitudes were relatively close to the middle level. According to the results of the regression analysis carried out in the framework of the purpose of the study, it has been determined that exhaust has a meaningful effect on the absorption of receptive silence and protective silence, which is from the dimensions of organizational silence. In the explanation of the protective silence, which is defined as a kind of privileged attitude by monitoring the organizational interests and by staying silent for the organization, it is found that the exhaustion has no meaningful effect. Discussions - The results obtained in this study, where the direction and level of the possible effects of fatigue on workers' silent attitudes are determined, are discussed in a conceptual and theoretical framework; recommendations for future research and practitioners are presented.
