Abstract:

The values that are nutritied from local objects, thrown into universal waters and we can evaluate as all the material and spiritual elements of society; this study has been done in the name of the work of Birsen October Özen's Chelebi Chain. This work is aimed at attracting attention to the importance of transmitting value through children’s books. In this context, the subject work is carried out by the document review based on the research method and the data source of the work is the book called the Chelebi Chain. The work is studied in terms of justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patrioticity and utility. Data analysis is used in data analysis. In this section, it is indicated in which page the value of the work is placed. Taking the necessary expert opinions, the identification of the topics in accordance with the 10 root values adopted by the Ministry of National Education in the book; the author is a loving author of Contemporary Children's Literature and the book is not included in another study is the reason for the study of this work. In his work, he has contributed to children’s literature, the process of transmitting value to children, and has included 10 root values. In this direction, it is believed that the subjects in the Turkish teaching books may be included in the writer's work.
