Abstract:

Societies form their own cultures according to the place lived and the social structures. Colors used in identifying objects and possessions; and in expressions of the feelings inner world are also an element of the cultures. Colors articulating feelings and ideas have many associations. The associations that colors have change from one culture to another. Also, colors affect daily life in different ways. In addition, colors have power to affect people physiologically and psychologically. In the current study, it is aimed to find out colors’ general associations and semantic associations changing from culture to another culture as well as their effects on educational process. The study is conducted in descriptive survey model. It is concluded that colors may refer almost the same assosications as well as different ones. Besides, it is found out that colors may be affective in educational processes
