Kâbe-nâme’nin Berlin Kutuphanesi Nushasi, Bazi İmla Ozellikleri ve /n/ ~ /ŋ/ Sorunu

Kâbe-nâme is a mesnevi giving information about the Kâbe, which is holy for Muslims. The author of the work is Abdurrahman Gubârî from Akşehir. He took lessons from well-known professors of the time. He also worked as a professor and joined the Iraqi expedition of Kânûnî as a state chronicler in 1534. Gubârî was also a tutor of Orhan Çelebi, one of the sons of Şehzâde Bayezid. His works are Süleyman-nâme, Şebistân-ı Hayâl, Yûsuf u Züleyhâ, Menâsik-i Hac, Mesâhat-nâme and Kâbe-nâme. Gubârî completed the Kâbe-nâme in Mecca in 1556. There are a total of six copies of the Kâbe-nâme located at the Ankara TDK Library, İstanbul Üsküdar Hacı Selim Ağa Library, Kayseri Raşit Efendi Library, Manisa Provincial Public Library, London British Museum Library and Berlin Staatsbibliothek. All the copies except the ones in the London British Museum Library and Berlin Staatsbibliothek are studied. The Kâbe-nâme is one of the works of the transition period from Ancient Anatolian Turkish to Classical Ottoman Turkish. The work provides information to researchers about the language and orthographic of the transition period. In this paper, the copy of Kâbe-nâme registered in Berlin Staatsbibliothek Ms. or. Oct. 2923 was introduced and some orthographic features of the copy were examined.
