Abstract:

is one of the poets who has lived in deep culture of Yukarı Fırat Basin between 1941-2014. He has lived on the tradition of folk poetry and created his poems in the form of folk poem. He has predominantly used Mani and Koşma verse, and heavily concentrated on themes of Erzincan, foreign land, hometown, national feelings, religion, mother, death, love, and romance. The themes have also not changed in his free verses. The poet who has also studied on local language beside poems has had five works of art. Metin Tombul who has taken place in Turkish Literature through his poetry books as Erzincan Dil Sözlüğü (2007), Erzincan Yöresi Atasözleri (2014), Erzincan Yöresi Deyimleri (2014), Dudakların Bende Kalsın (2008), Hüküm Müebbet (2008), Sevdamın Adı Erzincan (2011), and Deryaya Düşen Damla (2013) was tried to be introduced and his poems were tried to be analyzed in this study.
