Abstract:

With the industrialized society, many social problems emerged, and the need for industrial social work practices was understood. As a discipline born into the industrial revolution, social work was considerably affected by the characteristics of the period because the industrial revolution reversed the usual human life. Industrial social work is at the utmost point of change in the profession. It has many opportunities to help individuals with troubles, the problems of families, or the problems arising from this nascent industrial society. The current age is a post-industrial age in which rapid access to information is easy. As in all application areas of social work, there is a need for a paradigm shift in industrial social work practice, and it would not be wrong to say that it is important to thoroughly review the issues it deals with. Therefore, this study aims to discuss the issues that can be addressed in industrial social work practice in the post-industrial age and the roles of the industrial social worker.
