Aile kavramı ilk dönemlerden bu yana varlığını korumaktadır. Bireylerin gelişiminde ve davranışlarında etkili bir rol oynayan aile, toplumda önemli noktada yer alır. Toplumsal yapımızda temel yapı taşı olarak gösterilen aile kavramı, ülkemiz sinemasında da sıklıkla ele alınmaktadır. Hemen hemen her filminde aile içi ilişkilere değinen Yeşim Ustaoğlu, bu çalışmanın odak noktasında yer almaktadır. Söz konusu çalışmada, Yeşim Ustaoğlu sinemasındaki aile yapıları ve bu yapıların karakterlerin eylemlerine olan etkileri incelenmektedir. Çalışmanın analiz bölümünde, hem filmlerin yakın zamanda kalıcı bir iz bırakmaları açısından hem de yönetmenin film dilinin belirgin yansımalarını daha net görebilmek amacıyla Araf ve Tereddüt filmleri tercih edilmektedir. Bu filmler, aile kavramı çerçevesinde analiz edilmektedir.
The concept of family preserves its existence since the early periods. Family, which plays an effective role in the development and behavior of individuals, is an important part in society. The concept of family, which is shown as a basic building stone in our social structure, is often discussed in our country’s cinema. In almost every film, Yeshima Masteroğlu, referring to family relationships, is at the focus of this work. In this study, we study the family structures in the Yeşim Ustaoğlu cinema and the effects of these structures on the actions of the characters. In the analysis section of the study, both films are preferred to leave a permanent trace recently and to see more clearly the clear reflections of the film language of the director. These films are analyzed in the framework of the family concept.
