Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to study the new type of coronavirus catch worries of female footballers based on various variables. The study included 357 women’s footballers who were licensed in the TFF Women’s League. Data collection tools used "Personal Information Form" and developed by Tekkurşun-Demir, Cicioğlu and Ilhan (2020) "Sports' New Type Coronavirus (Covid - 19) Catching Anxiety Scale". The data was collected voluntarily and through an online survey created on the Internet. Analysis of data from women footballers involved in the study used T-Test and Duncan multi-comparation tests. The study found statistically significant differences in the educational status of women footballers, the frequency of training and the active sports year and the low dimensions of socialization anxiety (p<0,05). While statistically significant differences in the leagues they play and the individual anxiety subdimensions are detected (p<0,05) , statistically significant differences between age and position and both the individual anxiety and socialization anxiety subdimensions are not detected (p>0,05). As a result, the study found that women's football players' catching Covid-19's anxiety levels were slightly higher than the average.
