Abstract:

The main subject of this study is the reflection of the left stream that rose in Turkey in the 1960s to the Turkish cinema. In the Greens, which is recognized as the national cinema, in all the topics such as love, immigration, poverty, feudal relations, the left thought feels itself in different dimensions. The study of the topics discussed in the Greenland cinema from a "governmental left" perspective has led to alternative cinema searches and the result of "revolutionary" cinema searches the Film Association has been established. But although this revolutionary cinema has partial successes, it has not succeeded in breaking the unity of the national cinema This study’s hypothesis is that the state-left characteristic of the Turkish left shows itself clearly in the Green Cinema. The other argument in the study is that the state-owned left, criticism and opposition culture, seen in the Greenshams films, does not show a characteristic of the poor, pure state blessing. In these films, issues such as employment, immigration, displacement, poverty have been processed in a realistic way. In this sense, the Green Cinema is an opposition cinema, although it has a "national cinema unit". A literary examination was carried out. Different books and articles on the subject have been studied. In addition, the method of content analysis was applied by the study of some Turkish films to support the hypotheses.
