Abstract:

Ironic is a kind of narrative that, with an ironic narrative, is a kind of narrative that attempts to encourage the reader to think more deeply, which is aimed at insighting the opposite of what is said, without ever leaving the tactical attitude away. In the literary work, irony has been used by the artist for different reasons and in different styles, such as being influential, thinking, encouraging, entertaining, surprising. Reşat Nuri Güntekin's Roman Heaven with his strong observation power, we can say that the narrative, when necessary, was able to laugh with himself using an ironic language while questioning himself and doing all of this with the use of the irony of questioning a certain period, light and even many philosophical views. The novel is available to use different varieties of irony in its theme direction. The novel, which is described in the language of the narrator, keeps a light to the contradictions not only in which the brilliants of the time live, but also in which the brilliants of today can live within themselves and with society. In the novel the narrative believes in what they live with, with their dreams they encounter, and when one another lies, the irony of course appears. When the ironic language of Reşat Nuri is added to this, we need to study the interest of the novel with the irony, we think.
