Abstract:

Selective discourse (selective mutism) is defined as speech(a) in a set of environments and situations where speech is expected, although it has the ability to speak. Selective Mutism is very rare, and sometimes it disappears from itself and can easily escape. Early research found low self-esteem, uncertain home environment, emotional problems and one or a series of traumatic experiences in the past among the causes of selective discourse (selective mutism). With these thoughts, a factual study was presented to the solution of the selective dispute (selective mutism) seen in one of the twins of two eggs that began their childhood after completing the thirty-six months, with the collaboration of family, experts and teachers. The aim of the study is to keep light in the diagnosis and treatment stages. All conversations are considered to be more dependent on other twins and first-degree close adults as the reason for the Selective Disputes (selective mutism) that are seen in the case when observations, family conversations and portfolio files are examined and the fact feels insecure when they are not. The results of the studies continued regularly for a period of seven months with the cooperation of family, specialists (child developers and psychologists) and group teachers were positive. The positive contribution of interdisciplinary study is the most important source of results obtained in this study.
