Sağlık alanında son yıllarda artan şiddet olayları sağlık çalışanlarının fiziksel ve psikolojik sağlığını olumsuz etkilemektedir. Sağlık çalışanlarına yönelik şiddetle ilgili yapılan çalışmalar Türkiye’de sorunun ciddiyetini ortaya koymaktadır. Her düzeydeki sağlık kuruluşunda, her kademedeki sağlık çalışanı şiddete maruz kalmaktadır. Kamuoyunda sağlıkta şiddet; sağlık kuruluşlarına gelen hasta ve hasta yakınlarının sağlık çalışanlarına uyguladığı fiziksel şiddet olarak bilinmektedir. Ancak fiziksel olmayan şiddet biçimleri de son derece yaygın olarak görülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; Akdeniz Üniversitesi Hastanesinde çalışan güvenliğinin sağlanması için yapılacak çalışmalara yol göstermesi amacıyla çalışan personellerin şiddete uğrama durumlarını tespit etmektir. Veri olarak, Akdeniz Üniversitesi Hastanesi İşyeri Sağlığı birimine 2013-2014-2015 yılları arasında yapılan beyaz kod bildirimleri kullanılmış olup, elde edilen veriler istatistiksel analizler için SPSS 22.0 paket programına giriş yapılmıştır. Analizlerde, 0,05’den küçük p değerleri istatistiksel olarak anlamlı kabul edilmiştir. Çalışmanın bulguları olarak; beyaz kod bildiriminde bulunanlardan sözel ve fiziksel şiddete maruz kalanların %59’u hekimler, %17’si hemşireler ve %22’si diğer sağlık çalışanları olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda kadın hemşirelerin, hekim ve diğer sağlık personellerine oranla daha çok fiziksel veya sözel şiddet gördüğü tespit edilmiştir. 24 saat hizmet veren hastanede 00:00-08:00 saatlerinde sözel + fiziksel şiddetin, 08:00-17:00 saatlerinde de sözel şiddetin daha yüksek oranda gerçekleştiği tespit edilmiştir.
Increasing violence in the field of health in recent years has negatively affected the physical and psychological health of health workers. Research on the violence against health workers shows the seriousness of the problem in Turkey. At all levels of healthcare, healthcare workers at all levels are exposed to violence. Violence in public health is known as physical violence that patients and relatives of patients who come to health institutions apply to health workers. However, non-physical forms of violence are also widely seen. The purpose of this study is to identify the cases of violence of staff working in order to guide the work to ensure the safety of the employees in the Mediterranean University Hospital. As data, the White Code Notifications made between 2013-2014-2015 were used to the Mediterranean University Hospital Workplace Health Unit, and the data obtained was entered into the SPSS 22.0 package program for statistical analysis. In analyses, p values less than 0.05 were statistically meaningful. The study found that 59% of those who were exposed to oral and physical violence were doctors, 17% nurses and 22% other health workers. The analysis found that women saw more physical or oral violence than nurses, doctors and other health staff. In the hospital that served 24 hours, oral + physical violence occurred at 00:00-08:00 and oral violence occurred at 08:00-17:00.
İn recent years increasing violence incidens in the field of health adversely affects health care workers’ physical and psychological health. Studies on the violence against health workers demonstrate the seriousness of the problem in Turkey. Every levels on health organizations and every level of health care workers are exposed to violence. Health violence on public opinion known as patients -coming to health facilities to medical care- and patients relatives commit physical violence toward to health care professionals. Also, non-physical forms of violence find out to be extremely widespread.
