Abstract:

Araştırmada, sosyal bilgiler öğretmeni adaylarının sosyal bilgiler öğretimi programındaki değerlere yönelik algısal farkındalıkları incelenmiştir. Araştırmada çalışma grubunu Ahi Evran Üniversitesi’nde öğrenim görmekte olan 36’sı (%50,7) kız ve 35’i (%49,3) erkek olmak üzere 71 sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma, açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan yapılandırılmış görüşme formundan oluşan nitel bir çalışmadır. Araştırma kapsamında elde edilen verilerin çö¬zümlenmesinde içerik analizi kullanılmış olup veriler Haziran 2011’de toplanmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının değer öğretimi konusundaki görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla Öğretmen adaylarının değer kavramına yönelik farkındalık algıları 4 ana kategori altında ele alınmıştır. Bunlar sırasıyla; değeri merkeze alan ifadeler (%42,3), toplumu merkeze alan ifadeler (%22,5), bireyi merkeze alan ifadeler (%19,7), dilbilimi merkeze alan ifadeler (%15,59)’dir. Ayrıca sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının öğretim programında geçen değerlere ilişkin yaptıkları dereceleme sırasıyla Bilimsellik, Saygı, Vatanseverlik, Duyarlılık, Yardımseverlik, Sorumluluk, Çalışkanlık, Dürüstlük, Estetik, Adil olma, Barış, Hoşgörü, Sevgi, Misafirperverlik ve Aile birliğine önem verme şeklinde gerçekleşmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının önem atfettikleri değerleri niçin kazandırmaları gerektiğine ilişkin görüşleri incelendiğinde; bilimsellik değerinin (f:32; %:17) “Değişen bilgi ve teknolojiye ulaşabilmek (f:16)” ve “Çağdaş medeniyetler seviyesinde olma (f:10)” amacıyla, Saygı (f:27; %:14,6) değerinin “Farklılıklara saygılı olabilme (f:16)” ve “Hak ve özgürlükleri koruma (f:11)” amacıyla ve Vatanseverlik (f:31; %:16,7) değerinin “Vatanına yararlı olma ve onu geliştirme (f:10)” ve “Vatanını sevmeyenin ona zarar vermesini önleme (f:6)” amacıyla kazandırılması gerektiğini ifade etmişlerdir.

Social Information Teacher Candidate's Values In The Program

The study studied the perceptive awareness of social information teachers candidates to the values in the social information teaching program. The study group of study at Ahi Evran University constitutes 71 social information teachers candidates, including 36 (50.7) girls and 35 (49.3) men who are studying. Research is a qualitative study consisting of a structured form of conversation consisting of open-end questions. The research was used for content analysis to solve the data obtained within the framework of the research and the data was collected in June 2011. In order to determine the opinions of the teacher candidates on the subject of value teaching, the perceptions of the teacher candidates on the concept of value have been discussed under 4 main categories. These are, respectively, the expression that is centered on value (42.3%), the expression that is centered on society (22.5%), the expression that is centered on individual (19.7%), and the expression that is centered on linguistics (15,59%). In addition, social information has been achieved in the form of the assessment of the values that teachers candidates make in the curriculum, respectively, in the form of Science, Respect, Patrioticity, Sensitivity, Assistance, Responsibility, Working, Honesty, Aesthetics, Justice, Peace, Tolerance, Love, Hospitality and Family Unity. When the opinions are examined on why teaching candidates should gain the values they attribute importance, they express that the scientific value (f:32; 17%) should be obtained for the purpose of “to be able to access the changing knowledge and technology (f:16)” and “to be at the level of modern civilizations (f:10)” and the value of Respect (f:27; 14,6) for the purpose of “to be able to respect the differences (f:16)” and “to protect the rights and freedoms (f:11)” and the value of Patrioticity (f:31; 16,7) should be obtained for the purpose of “to be useful to the Fatherland and to develop it (f:10)” and the purpose of “to prevent those who don’t love the Fatherland from hurting it (f:6)”.

In the study, perceptual awareness of social studies teacher candidates regarding the values within the social studies curriculum has been analyzed. The working group of the study is composed of 71 social studies teacher candidates in total, 36 female (50.7%) and 35 males (49.3%), receiving education at Ahi Evran University. The study is qualitative, consisting of an interview form structured as open-end questions. Content analysis has been used in analyzing the data obtained within the scope of the study and the mentioned data were collected in June 2011.
