Abstract:

Decision is the choice of the most suitable of the various possible forms of action that may be possible in accordance with the possibilities and conditions available to a goal. Decision making is a set of cognitive and behavioral efforts to make choices and preferences in the face of various situations and events. From these thoughts, our work is aimed at studying the self-respect and decision-making styles in the decision-making of the kick boxing coaches. In the study, 62 coach candidates who participated in the kick box training course in the Elazığ province center in 2017 participated voluntarily. A Personal Information Form (age, gender, year of sporting) has been created for the kick box coach candidates who participate in the research to obtain their own information. The Melbourne Decision Making Questionary (Melbourne Decision Making Questionary), which was developed by Marine (2004) and adapted to Turkey, was used. The obtained data was evaluated by the SSPS statistical package program and taken as the meaning level (p<0.05). According to the study, there is no statistically significant difference between the age, gender, and sporting years of the participants when compared the decision-making and decision-making styles of the coach candidates in terms of the results. The coach’s level of self-esteem is high at manidar level. Our work is important to provide literary knowledge with similar studies to which we work.
