Abstract:

The general purpose of this research is to explore the relationship between teacher candidates' writing concerns and creative writing achievements. The research was prepared with a relative scanning model from quantum research models in accordance with this purpose. The study was attended by 227 teachers who continued their studies at the University of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli. In the study, the data was obtained using two different tools. The data on participants’ creative writing successes were obtained as a result of the evaluation of written narrative products through the creative writing evaluation scale. The research finds that there is a meaningful relationship between teacher candidates' writing concerns and creative writing achievements at the middle level. So as the teacher's writing concern increases, the creative writing success decreases. While men’s writing concerns are higher than women, creative writing successes are lower than women and this difference is meaningful. The study found that students in the Turkish teaching department's writing concerns were low compared to other departments, and their creative writing successes were high and this difference was meaningful.
