Biyoloji Öğretiminde İşbirlikli Öğrenme Yönteminin Başarı, Hatırda Tutma ve Derse Yönelik Tutum Üzerindeki Etkileri

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, biyoloji öğretiminde işbirlikli öğrenme yönteminin öğrencilerin başarıları, öğrendiklerini hatırda tutmaları ve derse yönelik tutumları üzerindeki etkilerini incelemektir. Araştırma, Diyarbakır ilinde Ziya Gökalp Lisesi I. sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşan iki grup üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu modelin kullanıldığı araştırmada kontrol grubunda geleneksel öğretim, deney grubunda işbirlikli öğrenme yöntemi kullanılarak "Canlıların Temel Bileşenleri" ünitesi iki ay süre ile işlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulardan sontest, erişi ve hatırda tutma testi puanlarına göre deney grubundaki öğrenciler kontrol grubundakilerden daha başarılı olmuşlardır. Biyoloji dersine yönelik tutum bulgularına göre ise işbirlikli öğrenme yönteminin, öğrencilerin tutumlarının olumlu yönde gelişmesinde daha etkili olduğu saptanmıştır.

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the impact of the collaborative learning method in biology teaching on the students’ achievements, remembering what they learned, and their attitudes towards the course. The study was conducted on two groups of students of the Ziya Gökalp High School in Diyarbakır. In the study in which the predest-sontest control group model was used, traditional teaching in the control group, using the collaborative learning method in the experiment group, the "Basic Components of Animals" unit was processed for two months. According to the Estest, Access and Memory Test scores from the results obtained, students in the experiment group were more successful than those in the control group. According to the findings of attitude towards the course of biology, the collaborative learning method has been found to be more effective in the development of students’ attitudes in a positive direction.
