Abstract:

This study is aimed at determining the writing habits of the educational faculty students in the context of different dimensions. The research quality is designed according to the scanning pattern of research types. The study group of the study is made up of teachers candidates who are studying at the Faculty of Education of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University and selected through non-selective sampling. The data is collected through the focus group conversation method. In the determination of the teacher candidates to be interviewed, it was noted that the teacher training was from the teacher candidates who are studying in different programs. In this context, a focus group meeting with 50 educational faculty students who are studying in the fields of class education, Turkish education, mathematical education, social information education, science knowledge education, computer and teaching technologies education, music education, painting business education, English teaching and guidance and psychological counseling teaching has been carried out. A semi-configured interview form is prepared to determine the profile of the writing habits of the school students. The interview form includes interview questions and subsequent questions to determine the purpose, type and style of writing of the teacher candidates, the points they pay attention to when writing, the frequency of writing and the conditions of sharing the writings they write. The data obtained is processed by the method of content analysis. Another researcher’s opinions were taken in the process of analysis of data to increase the reliability of data. There are also direct quotes from the students' views. The findings obtained in the study were presented under the topics: "Writing Purpose", "Type", "Writing Style", "Writing Process", "Time", "Master", "Share".
