Abstract:

(Alternative Means Of Payment: Electronic Check System - E-Check) In recent years, electronical trade and electronical finance have been two important concepts with the development of the technology for the companies. The development velocity of the technology just like the difficult competition circumstances that created by being global oblige the companies to find out dynamic and faultless solutions. The new approaches, first of all the new Basel Capital Accord and the rest, focuses on the management of the operational risk. The basic purpose of the banking industry and the other compaanies is to manage the operational risks as well reducing the risks and working with the minimum ost. Beyond this purposes, the banking industry and the other companies have to follow the technological development in order to compete within the global area. In this work, defining the importance of the, as being thr 21th century version of paper checks, e-check that is the alternative payment system in the financial system which has been developed parallel to the technological developments, then comparing with the paper check and the fesability of usage of it in Turkey is aimed.
