Abstract:

In the Turkish law, the check is regulated by two separate laws. The first of these is the Turkish Trade Act (TTK) No. 6102, which has provisions in accordance with the Geneva Rules. The second is the Czech Law No. 5941.  In accordance with the Geneva Declaration (CYK/1960), the provisions of the TTK are regulated in accordance with the provisions of the Geneva Declaration (CYK/1960), while the provisions of the Czech Republic are legalized in order to protect pregnant women and their public order. There are six elements required to be found in the CYK. But there are other elements that are not compatible with the CYC. The first of these additions is the obligation to use the carcode with the serial number added to the validity elements. The other is the one that does not have any effect on the validity but is compulsory to be written. These elements have charged the Czech Republic with functions such as "contributing to the measures to register the unregistered economy", "preventing the loss of taxes and escape", "preventing the financing of terrorism" and "washing black money". Thus, the cheque is differentiated by adding additional elements to the minimum compulsory elements that are valid in the cheque.  As a result, with the provisions of the Czech Law No. 5941, the check sheet has been converted into a payment tool specific to the Republic of Turkey.
