Cumhuriyetin ilk yıllarından günümüze kadar Bingöl’de eğitim alanında önemli mesafeler kaydedildiği açıktır. Okuma-yazma oranları, ortalama eğitim süresi, çalışan nüfusun eğitim durumu ve kadın okur-yazarlığı gibi göstergeler eğitimde iyileşmelerin olduğuna işarettir. Ancak ülkenin genel gelişme trendi içerisinde, ilimizde eğitim alanındaki iyileşmeler oransal olarak ülke ortalamasının altında kalmaktadır. Eğitimde yaşanan sorunlar, sosyal olaylardaki çok nedenlilik prensibi gereği, sosyal doku, gelenek, altyapı ve ekonomiden kaynaklı çeşitli nedenlere bağlanabilir. Bu çalışmada Osmanlının son döneminden günümüze kadar Bingöl’deki eğitim faaliyetlerinin genel bir fotoğrafı çizilmeye çalışılmış, günümüzde eğitim alanında yaşanan sorunlar ve bu sorunları tetikleyen etkenler üzerinde durularak, olası çözüm önerileri ortaya konmuştur.
It is obvious that from the first years of Republic till now in the education field of Bingöl significant progresses occurred. The indicators such as literacy rates, average education duration, the education status of employed population and female literacy rate point out that improvements have been provided in education. However, comparing with the country’s overall development trend, the educational improvements of our province still remain under the proportional average of the nation. The problems in education due to the principle of multiple motivations (reasons) are attributed to various causes such as social events, social structure, traditions, infrastructure and economy. In this study, an overall snapshot of Bingöl’s educational activities from Ottoman Empire till today has been drawn, current problems in the field of education and the factors that trigger these problems has been demonstrated and accordingly possible solutions have been suggested.
