Abstract:

Child rights are the rights that children have in birth as they are born as an individual and need care. The preschool period has an important place in terms of children's rights education. In this period, making children attain awareness for the child rights would help them become a citizen aware of their rights in the future and have positive personality features. However, most of the work done so far includes primary school children but the period in which basic habits are acquired is the preschool period. In this research, scientific studies and pre-school education programs in the field of pre-school education were examined. As a result of the examinations carried out, it has been seen that there are very few studies on children's rights education in preschool education. A rights education program based on children's rights must first be prepared for the establishment of the consciousness of children's rights in pre-school education, which is the first and basic step of children's rights education. More qualified scientific work on providing children's rights education should be provided for each individual who is in contact with parents, teachers, and children.
