The results of the music therapy researches that have been made are generally about the analytic to the cultural situation. For this reason, studies on the functional connection between the brain and music indicate that there are links to the effect of music on positive development of language and intelligence at the same time. The background to the existence of music therapy exercises and practices suggests that this process extends to ancient times; but the first steps in the measurability of these studies by scientific means correspond to the second half of the 20th century. In this study, especially studies on the effects of music on mental development and treatment of some psychological disorders also change the way of studying in the west. For example, what kind of music is to be played for the therapy group or how to use a musical piece has begun to take shape as the experiences increase. For this reason, music therapy methods, which are increasingly preferred in Turkey, are based on Ottoman, Seljuk, Central Asia and culture oriented studies. Can this basic question, the changing forms of life and the discovery of alternatives to preferences and treatment methods, be a necessity for regulation on music therapy methods in Turkey? Can our music culture be taken more with the measurability of our time and classifying it with a number of technical instruments, and functional music therapy exercises can be passed on? The purpose of this study is to put forward the breakthroughs that will support these analytical researches and open to debate.
