Abstract:

Globalization is an inevitable reality of the world in which we live. This period, known as the third millennia, offers great opportunities for humanity. The fact that information and technology world has developed rapidly leads to changes in all fields. Globalization has been one of the leading terms mostly used not only in the field of international politics and diplomacy but also in academic studies of this field in the last twenty years. Globalization, at the same time, verbalises the increasing complexity and the possibility of sudden changes in present social processes. The fact of globalization in Turkey has come to be known not so much different from the general tendency of the world in company with economic decisions made since 1980s. It is accepted that globalization cannot merely be assessed as an economic process but it also has social and cultural proportions. The economic and social problems deepening due to the influence of global economic polices create varying effects on gender. In this study, the dynamics of relations between men and women and the problems related to this has been investigated. The method followed in the study mostly depends on literature survey
