Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to measure the financial performance of the forest products sector (wood and wood products, paper and paper products and furniture) for years. In addition, the financial performance of the forest products sector has been assessed. Sector ratios and standard ratios in the years 2002-2016 prepared by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey were used. Averages of the data in the years 2002-2016 have been taken for the measurement of the performances of the forest products sector. MULTIMOORA was used as the method. MULTIMOORA results were achieved using the MOORA ratio, the reference point approach and full multiplication methods. 22 financial ratios have been used and these ratios have been determined as a result literature review and the interviews made by the experts. According to MULTIMOORA results, the highest financial performance for the wood and wood products and paper and paper products sectors was found in 2002, and the lowest financial performance was found in 2008. For the furniture sector, the highest financial performance was achieved in 2009 and the lowest performance was achieved in 2016. In terms of the sector, the highest financial performance was realized by the paper and paper products sector while the lowest performance was realized by the wood and wood products sector.
