Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to examine how children in 12 13 year old age group in extended versus nuclear families perceive their families to identify the variables and to determine how indicative they are in the perception of their families and finally to determine the relationship between their perceptions and the family type In this study how children who live in extended families and nuclear families perceive their families as well as the educational level of their parents the attitudes of the parents in extended and nuclear families were examined and in the extended families with which grandparents they live the attitudes of the grand parents have an effect on children’s perception of their families were examined The results of the study show that between the children who live in extended and nuclear families there are significant Differences in terms of total scores and of the low levels of family evaluation scale There have been differences in the low levels of family evaluation scale and total scores in terms of the educational level of the parents the attitude of the mother and the attitude of the parents towards one another Key Words: Extended Family Nuclear Family Child
