Abstract:

Avnî Bey from Yenişehir, is one of important faces of classical Turkish literature in 19th century. Avnî Bey has both Turkish and Persian divan. In Persian divan consisting of about 1600 verses, there are 26 rubais. Two of these are mustezats. One of mustezats is about his sheikh Nazif Dede’s date of birth. Generally, some of rubais in which was embroidered grandness of God, love, weakness, real self, goodness have the characteristic of laudatory and satirical poem. In this study, it’ll be given place to Turkish translation of 26 rubais of Avnî Bey from Yenişehir
