Araştırma 10. sınıf öğrencilerinin “Kimyasal Reaksiyonlar ve Enerji” konusunda başarılarını ve kimya dersine karşı tutumlarını incelemek üzere yapılmıştır. Veriler bilimsel başarı testi, kimya tutum ölçeği ve mantıksal düşünme yeteneği testi ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmada öntest-sontest kontrol grubu deneme modeli kullanılmıştır. Gruplar deney ve kontrol grubu olarak rastgele atanmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grupları arasındaki tek fark, deney grubunda bazı dersler laboratuvar ortamında, öğrenci merkezli işlenmiş ve öğrencilerin gruplar halinde deney yapmalarına imkan sağlanmıştır. Kontrol grubunda ise dersler sınıf ortamında anlatılmış, ders ile ilgili problemler çözülmüş ve öğretmen merkezli işlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonunda ilgili konunun öğretiminde deneysel yöntem kullanılan sınıfın başarısının, geleneksel öğretim yöntemi kullanılan sınıfa göre daha yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur.
The study was conducted to examine the students' achievements in "Chemical Reactions and Energy" and their attitudes towards the chemistry course. The data is collected with the scientific success test, the chemical attitude scale and the logical thinking ability test. In the study, the pre-test-sontest control group test model was used. The groups are randomly assigned as a experimental and control group. The only difference between the experiment and control groups is that some courses in the experiment group are processed in a laboratory environment, student-centered and students are allowed to do the experiment in groups. In the control group, the lessons were discussed in the classroom environment, the problems related to the lesson were solved and the teacher centered. At the end of the study, the success of the class used in the teaching of the relevant subject was higher than the class used in the traditional teaching method.
