Abstract:

Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de 1964-2014 dönemi yıllık verilerle, gayri safi yurtiçi hasıla ile ülkeye gelen turist sayısı/turizm gelirleri arasındaki ilişkiler Bayer-Hanck eş-bütünleşme, kısıtsız VAR, Dolado-Lütkepohl VAR analizleri, etki-tepki fonksiyonları ve varyans ayrıştırma analizleri kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Ampirik bulgular uzun dönemde turizm ile ekonomik büyüme arasında eş-bütünleşme ilişkisinin olmadığını, ancak kısa dönemde turizm sektöründen GSYİH’ya doğru tek yönlü, pozitif bir nedenselliğin olduğunu göstermiştir.
